In the summer of 2009, an importer of high end women's European footwear approached Riviera to help it navigate a crisis of good fortune: Larger than expected orders from a major luxury department store in the United States. The client's factory in Europe was not willing to be flexible enough on its required Terms for such a high volume of merchandise, and the retailer wanted to stick to a delivery deadline for all product to coincide with its fall apparel lineup.


Enter Riviera Finance. With a $600,000 new credit facility in place, the client was able to satisfy the supplier's rigid terms and delivered to its customer on time and within budget. The cost of factoring with Riviera has already been offset by a new round of large, high margin orders from the same retailer later in the winter quarter of 2009, with more on the way.
